If You Need A Procedure

You will be contacted by a nurse in the pre-assessment team from the hospital your procedure has been scheduled at to advise you.

Your procedure would be done as a day case, which means you will be able to return home on the same day your procedure is carried out.

Most often you will be given a sedation rarely would you therefore need to be under a general anaesthetic.

On the day of your procedure, no fluids 2 hours prior and no solids 6 hours prior to your procedure.

It is necessary to have someone with you at home specially the night after your procedure.

You are not allowed to drive for 24 hours after the procedure.
